Mechanical: Maintenance of Diesel Locos in sheds including repair & overhaul of sub assemblies, fabrication Of test rigs for component testing. POH of Diesel Locos in W/Shops or manufacture of diesel locos in production units and well conversant with jigs & fixture tooling required for POH/Manufacturer. POH of coaches and wagons in Workshops wheel conversant with air brake testing I bogie repair & overhaul wheels & roller bearing inspection. Maintenance Of coaches & wagon in open line including latest repair practices for air brake high-speed stock & AC coaches Tool rooms. Metrology. physical and NOT testing including through experience in latest techniques, Of inspection and gauging techniques, Of inspection and gauging techniques various methods of physical and nondestructive testing (such as Ultrasonic & Radiographic testing). Manufacture of coaches in production unit & well conversant with the latest quality control guidelines for sub-assemblies and components.
Electrical: Maintenance of Elect. Locos in sheds including repair & overhaul of sub-assemblies fabrication of test rigs for component testing IPOH of electric locos, a manufacturer of electric locos. W/Shop with thorough experience in a repair/& overhaul of elect, Lighting & AC equipment & EOT cranes Power equipment including repair/testing of heavy duty rating electrical equipment such as Power & Distribution Transformers & OHE equipment.
Civil Engineering: Experience in Public Health Engg_ / Civil Engg. Construction [Irrigation Minor works / Water Supply including experience Of onsite supervision Of lying and fabrication of pipe and pipe fittings etc in addition to experience in working in construction / open lines / HQrs in the field of Track, Permanent Way, Railway Works Construction & maintenance. Experience in Public Health Engg_ / Civil Engg. Construction [Irrigation Minor works / Water Supply including experience Of onsite supervision Of lying and fabrication of pipe and pipe fittings etc in addition to experience in working in construction / open lines / HQrs in the field of Track, Permanent Way, Railway Works Construction & maintenance.
METALLURGY & CHEMICAL: Knowledge of testing of various parameters for rubber. leather, plastics textiles and paint as per relevant IS specifications The applicant should be conversant with NABL norms for setting up laboratory testing facilities.

How To Apply
- Accordingly, the applications are invited from the willing individuals who are presently working in Zonal Railways and Production Units in PB-2/GP4200)jLevel 6 (in 7th CPC). The applicant should be either a diploma holder in relevant discipline with at least 10 years experience Or a degree holder in relevant discipline with minimum 5 years experience (applicant having passed Section ‘A’ & ‘B’ of the Institution of Engineers, India, will be eligible to apply).
- Applicant should not be above 52 years of age as on last day for submitting the application i.e. 31/07/2017 [Relaxation of age bar is permissible under exception circumstances by the Selection (Interview) Board]. He should have adequate knowledge and operational experience in the discipline as indicate in the Annexure-II.
- Applicant should have minimum “Good” rating in all last 5 years APAR and must be free from Vigilance/SPE/CBl cases. Shortlisted candidates shall be required to present themselves for an interview. The candidates Selected and placed on the panel shall, on appointment in RITES, be entitled to Deputation pay (10% in case of outstation candidates subject to a maximum of Rs. 4000/- and 5% in case of local candidates subject to maximum Of Rs. 2000/-) during their period of deputation.
- They shall also be entitled to receive additional allowance and benefits as decided by the RITES Management from time to time. Applicants must note that the period of deputation in RITES is 3 years. The name of willing applicants who fulfill the above requirements and who are desirous of joining RITES on deputation may kindly be forwarded through proper channel along with their bio-data in the format enclosed herewith in Annexure-I so as to reach this office latest by 31/07/2017.
- It is also requested that applicants’ 5 years APARS (year ending 2011-12 to 2015-16 but if APAR of 2016-17 is available then 2012-13 to 2016-17 Will be considered) or summery of grades must be forwarded in the sealed Cover along with their applications so as to enable RITES to finalize the selection early.
