Chhattisgarh Post Office Recruitment 2017 GDS (2492 Vacancies Opening)

Chhattisgarh Post Office has published recruitment notification for the position of Gramin Dak Sevak Vacancy for Chattisgarh Postal Circle. The Online registration starts from 20th September 2017 and close on 20th October 2017. The Recruitment process for GDS posts notified on 6th April 2017 has been Cancelled. Hence the candidates who have applied earlier in response to the notification dated 06/04/2017 can apply using their previous registration number itself and there is no need to deposit the fees Again.

Vacancy Details:

• Name of the Post: Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS)
• No of Vacancies: 2492

Age Limit: The minimum and maximum age between 18 and 40 Years. The maximum age shall be relaxable by 05 Years for SC / ST, 03 Years for OBC, Plus 10 Years for PWD Category Candidates.

Educational Qualification: The candidate should pass Matriculation / 10th Standard / Class X from approved state boards by the respective Central / State Government. If candidates passed Xth class examination will be treated as meritorious against those passed compartmentally.

• Computer Knowledge: Minimum Basic Computer Knowledge required. The candidates should Basic Computer Knowledge certificate for at least 60 days from Central Government/ State Government/ University/ Boards recognized Computer Training Institute. If candidates studied computer subject in 10th / 12th Class or Higher Education, the computer knowledge certificate is not required.

• Job Residence: The selected candidate must mandatorily take up his/her residence in the Branch Post Office village within one month after selection but before engagement as Gramin Dak Sevak Branch Postmaster. The candidate shall submit a declaration to this effect in the application. The candidate selected for the post of other than GDS BPM should reside in post village/delivery jurisdiction. The candidate selected for the engagement of BPM shall have to provide centrally located accommodation in the Branch Post Office village within 30 days for use as Post Office premises and the expenditure of the hiring if any needs to be borne by the candidates.

Selection Process: The selection only based on 10th Standard Marks. The percentage of the accuracy of 4 decimals will be the criteria for finalizing the selection. No weight will be given for possessing any qualification(s) higher than the mandatory educational qualification.

Application Fee: Applicant of category OC (General) / OBC Male should pay a fee of ₹ 100/- at any Head Post Office. The candidate who requires making the payment has to visit any Head Post Office to make the payment. The fee payment is exempted for all Female and SC/ST candidates. Candidates who applied previous Chhattisgarh Postal Circle GDS April 2017 online registration, need to pay the application fee again.
How to Apply: Eligible Interested Persons Apply Online through India Post Online Portal. The Online Registration of application close on 05/05/2017 (The last date for submission of application extended up to 20/05/2017). The Online registration re-open from 20/09/2017 and close on 20/10/2017.
